From wilderness to japanese garden

Before...
Just a couple of years without any care and this garden had become a complete wilderness with many surprises in the undergrowth.

...after...
There are plenty of places to sit to enjoy different views of the garden including a summer house for those inclement days.
There were two birch trees in the garden but their beautiful white bark went un-noticed in the undergrowth. Here, they stand out and look magnificent.
The natural slope of the garden meant that it was ideal for a waterfall and the fish pond is a great place for contemplation.
The large bamboo and the ornamental planting will mature to produce a  restful garden full of greenery and subtle colours. There were no “hot” colours planted in this garden.
